Taking the Wraps off of MacGiftWrap
December 21st, 2006
Here’s my (humble) effort:
MacGiftWrap

(4.1M — including source)
MacGiftWrap is a very basic app that swaps out the standard Mac OS X folder icons with gift wrapped folders. As this app modifies system resources, all the standard warnings apply: use at your own risk, make a backup first, yadda, yadda, yadda.
For more information, see the MGW page on my site.
Now that the apps are materializing, let’s do something good: donate. Hint: Donors Choose is a good place to start.

Happy holidays! Well, I’m certainly not nearly as accomplished a developer as the others involved in this project and my contribution won’t be as slick as theirs, but, well, it’s in the holiday spirit.
I’ve been developing Mac apps for a few years — perhaps you’ve heard of Preferential Treatment, Jon’s Phone Tool, Docktop, Lilt, or some of my other apps. I try to make small apps that are useful, and some that are just fun.
When the apps are revealed, if you find mine interesting, perhaps you’d consider making a contribution to Donors Choose, a great charity helping teachers get the resources they so desperately need. Heck, even if you don’t like my app, please still consider making a contribution.
I’ll be taking the wrapping off the details of my app soon...
